How we stay neutral
CompareMach compares machines that its operator also sells. That is a real conflict of interest, so instead of hiding it we have written down exactly what money can and cannot change on this site.
Who operates this site
CompareMach is operated by Bepa Makina Taahhüt İnşaat Sanayi Madencilik Dış Ticaret Ltd. Şti., based in Ahmet Mithat Efendi Sok. No: 34/6, Çankaya / Ankara. The same company trades in heavy machinery and electric commercial vehicles, which means it has a commercial interest in some of the brands listed here.
No brand receives preferential placement, a higher score or a better ranking because of that relationship — including the brands the operator sells. The rules below apply identically to every brand in the catalog.
What money can and cannot buy
- Position in comparison results
- TCO, fuel or CO2 figures
- The verification badge
- Removal of a competitor's machine
- Editing another company's record
- Used-machine listing slots
- Publishing your contact details
- A company showcase page
- Uploading your own machine photos
- Submitting a catalog for us to add
Every piece of paid content carries a visible "Sponsored" or "Listing" label. If you ever see paid content on this site without one, that is a bug — tell us.
How the ranking is calculated
Machines are ranked by total cost of ownership over the period you choose. The formula is the same for every machine:
TCO = purchase price + (years × annual running cost) − residual value
Annual running cost covers fuel or energy, maintenance, wear parts and operator cost, driven by the operating hours and prices you enter. The calculation does not know which brand it is processing — change the brand name and the result does not move.
🟡 How the badge works
There are two levels and both are free; neither is tied to a subscription. The level we apply today is this: if the manufacturer's own site or press release names a company, it becomes 🟡 Verified and the source is linked on every record. If not, it stays Declared — which does not mean it is unauthorized.
Coming next: "Verified by documents" — what we will ask for
When dealer applications open, a company will be able to raise its record to a higher tier by submitting these. Until then no record carries this tier.
- Manufacturer's authorization letterA dealer or distributor agreement, or a signed letter on the manufacturer's letterhead naming your company and territory.
- Trade registry recordProof the company legally exists in the country it claims to cover.
- Tax / VAT numberVerifiable against the public registry of that country.
- Where possible, confirmation from the manufacturerWe write to the brand and ask them to confirm. This is the strongest form of verification.
We do not use an "unauthorized" label. A company either shows as Verified or as Not declared. Not having submitted documents does not mean a company is unauthorized — many simply have not applied yet.
Where the data comes from
Technical specifications are compiled from manufacturer documentation, and each machine page shows its source with a link where one exists. Prices are estimates with a confidence level and a price band, because manufacturers rarely publish list prices for heavy equipment.
Coverage is uneven: some brands have more machines in the catalog than others. This reflects the order in which data was collected, not a preference. If a brand or model you care about is missing, tell us and we will add it.
Found something wrong?
If any specification, price or dealer record here is wrong, write to us. We correct it and cite the source.
